The SOTRU Event Was a Success
By Brenton Crozier
We want to tha
nk all of our amazing sponsors, volunteers and guests that made SOTRU – A Celebration of Community such an incredible and successful event. The food from Biscottis, Orsay and Bento Cafe was out of this world, the beer from Bold City was tops and the downtown library venue was just right.
The cocktail hour was perfectly accented by the music of Adam Mantovani. Additionally, guests purchased raffle tickets for items including owner’s suite tickets to a Jaguars game donated by J. Wayne and Delores Barr Weaver, original artwork by mactruQue and Heather Blanton.
Melissa Ross was kind enough to emcee, we heard from NPR representative Eric Nuzum and SOTRU host Al Letson spoke about his travels over the course of the season and showed three documentaries: New Orleans – Murder Board, Austin – Trailer Eateries and
Appalachia – Mountain Top Removal Mining. The night was capped off with the announcement of the raffle winners.
Thank you again to everyone that helped us make this event happen and for the continued support of State of the Re:Union. We are really excited about all of the great things to come! Check out more of our event photos here.
