I am fortunate to be a long-time volunteer and community gardener at Crabtree. It is an amazing, magical place. 22 acres of heaven in the middle of downtown Chattanooga. Even though I don't get to go there much these days, it, and the staff live in my heart. And..... you will Never find better strawberries or tomatoes!

Great Story, Very well written I can't believe the writer of this piece she is INCREDIBLE, Alina Kodatt I think her name is , I can't believe she is not a Pulitzer prize winner already !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love the organic local farming movement it puts people back to work doing God's work that man was originally created for. Its actually the key to our nations economic problems. Take something small, grow it to something big, sell it to feed the hungry and round and round it goes. ITS THE ONLY SUSTAINABLE ECONOMIC SOLUTION to end hunger and obesity in AMERICA PEOPLE!

This article should be on CNN front page already!

Was happy to find something on this subject, it encourages me to build community in my own neighborhood, and why not, even my own garden.
